What you actually "see" with progressive glasses The narrow field of
vertical undistorted vision lets wearers of progressive glasses clearly see
only a narrow vertical strip of text. Moving their head lets them move
that undistorted area around the page on the screen, but the reduced
peripheral vision makes it difficult to efficiently comprehend text and
concepts. (Yes, the distortion below IS exaggerated to make the point
more obvious.)
